July will bring the release of my next novel, entitled My Dangerous Duke. This is one of my most passionate stories, and the Duke of Warrington is certainly one of my most dangerous heroes. A top assassin for the Order, Rohan Kilburn, the Duke of Warrington, is a grim, battle-hardened warrior completely devoted to defeating the Order’s shadowy enemies. At his castle on the coast of Cornwall, he makes use of the local smugglers ring as couriers for the Order’s secret communiqués, but keeping his criminal tenants in check occasionally takes a bit of an iron hand. They fear him for good reason. But when the smugglers step out of line with their criminal dealings, he is forced to leave London for Cornwall to lay down the law once more. Terrified of their enigmatic overlord, the smugglers try to assuage his anger with a gift...

My Dangerous Duke continues the Inferno Club series that I began last year with My Wicked Marquess—in fact, this story picks up right where My Wicked Marquess left off. You may remember that poor girl, Kate--tied up, blindfolded, locked in the smugglers’ cellars—kidnapped, she has no idea why? That girl is our heroine.

Note: The Inferno Club books are Regency Historicals that blend adventure and suspense with a fun, spooky bit of Gothic atmospherics (but no paranormal!).
